While sad about ‘Ugly Betty’ coming to an end, actress America Ferrera is happy to be ordering up a heavy dose of sleep…

Sharing her plans post ‘Betty’ while promoting ‘Our Family Wedding,’ which opens in theaters Friday, Ferrera told press “Sleep. I have this (’Our Family Wedding’) and then ‘How To Train Your Dragon,’ which is an animated film that I did coming out in two weeks after this film.”

Ferrera is said to be in talks for a few other projects but, was unable to disclose those efforts this week.

‘Desperate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria-Parker can rest easier now that her husband, Tony Parker is free to recover at home.

The Alma host and actress was afraid that Parker would have to go under the knife after he fractured his hand during a game last week.

After a few tense days of  tests, doctors say Parker can recouperate at home for six weeks.

“Great news on my husband’s hand, he doesn’t need surgery,” Longoria wrote on Twitter. “Thanks for all your messages.”

Comedian George Lopez is ready to get smurf-ed for Hollywood in the forthcoming film “The Smurfs’.

A planned adaptation of the celebrated cartoon and at one point home movie series, ‘The Smurfs’ features Neil Patrick Harris and Alan Cumming.

While it is unclear just who Lopez will voice in the flick, he’d probably do a great job as a smurf leader or maybe even Papa Smurf…

“I Kissed A Girl” singer, Katy Perry is rumored to be in negotiations to join Lopez.

Actor Mario Lopez, 36, and his actress girlfriend, Courtney Mazza, 28, are expecting their first child in the fall

Lopez broke the news to People saying, “I’m really excited. I’m happy. I can’t wait to be a dad.”

Lopez is excited to be a day, he goes on to say, “I grew up in a large family. I’m fired up! I don’t know what we’re having. I’m going to wait to see [the baby's gender] so it will be a surprise.”

Lopez and Mazza met in 2008 when Lopez starred in A Chorus Line on Broadway.

The 26-year-old, now a TV host, received the news early last month (Feb 09), five months after having her first child.

“I did not pay attention during the pregnancy because I thought it was another symptom of the many things that one feels,” says Ekvall. “Then I went back to the doctor, I had a biopsy and it turned out to be cancer. It was depressing at first, many thoughts were going through my head. I thought ‘I’m gonna die, I’ll say goodbye to my people’”.

Ekvall, who wants to become an activist in the fight against cancer, won the Miss Venezuela in 2000 and a year later came in fourth place in Miss Universe.

Ricky Martin may be taking a chance with Broadway in the near future.

According to Latina, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice are hoping Martin will consider appearing in ‘Evita’ when it plays the Nederlander theater next year.

If Martin decides to join the cast he would likely play the role of Che Guevara in the production, which is budgeted at $10 million with Michael Grandage and Rob Ashford set to direct and handle choreography.

Domingo is under doctors orders to rest for six weeks. He may return April 16 for a performance of Verdi’s “Simon Boccanegra” at Milan’s Teatro alla Scala, she said.

“His exact return to his performing engagements remains subject to how fast he can heal and regain his characteristic strength,” his spokeswoman said.
