Nina Sky Bio

Twins sisters Nicole and Natalie Albino formed a musical group Nina Sky as children. While in high school the duo wrote, deejayed and sung in their spare time. In 2000 the group started working with music production group The Jettsonz who helped them craft a distinct sound and style. Nina Sky's dream of becoming music artists came to fruition when Hot 97's DJ Cipha Sounds suggested that Nina Sky write to the 'Coolie Dance' riddim. The pair wrote the lyrics to the hit song "Move Ya Body." The songs lead to a record deal with Next Plateau Entertainment.
R&B/Pop group Nina Sky has collaborated with artist Reggaeton artist on songs such as "Oye Mi Canto" and "Mas Maiz."

2004: Signing a Record Deal

The big break occurred when Nina Sky met DJ Cipha Sounds, who worked for The Neptunes record label Star Trak. Cipha Sounds suggested the duo record a song on the "Coolie Dance" riddim. Nina Sky penned the lyrics for "Move Ya Body" and recorded a demo. The demo fell into the hands of Eddie O'Loughlin, the president of Next Plateau Entertainment. O'Loughlin signed Nina Sky to a contract.

2000: Where the Name Nina Sky Came From

Nicole and Natalie created their stage name Nina Sky by using the first two syllables of their names ("Ni" and "Na"), to create Nina. They then added Sky, because it represents "the sky's the limit."

1993: Sisters

Because their stepfather worked as a DJ, the twins were influenced by different types of music. When they were 7 years old, they wrote their first song, "Sisters."
